What is the Fund?<\/b><\/h2>\r\n

It is a mechanism created by Fundaci\u00f3n WWB Colombia in 2017 to promote research into the contexts, challenges, and opportunities for women entrepreneurs in Colombia and the Pacific region. The research field is entitled \u201cContexts and opportunities for women\u2019s entrepreneurship in rural areas.\u201d<\/p>\r\n <\/div>\r\n <\/div>\r\n \r\n <\/i>\r\n <\/a>\r\n <\/div>\r\n\r\n

Who is it for?<\/b><\/h2>\r\n \r\n\r\n\r\n

Fieldwork support <\/strong>
\r\nColombian and foreign master’s or doctoral students whose research project has been approved and are ready to begin their data collection phase in the field. Colombian and foreign research groups interested in developing research projects, social innovation, and technological development in the field of research established for each Call and that includes Choc\u00f3, Valle del Cauca, Cauca and\/or Nari\u00f1o as a site for fieldwork.\r\n<\/p>\r\n <\/div>\r\n <\/div>\r\n

Where does it apply?<\/b><\/h2>\r\n

\r\n All projects must focus on the departments of Choc\u00f3, Valle del Cauca, Cauca and\/or Nari\u00f1o. \r\n <\/p>\r\n \r\n

Fieldwork support <\/h2>\r\n

Origin of application: researchers from any part of Colombia or abroad can apply, as long as the fieldwork of the research project is carried out in Choc\u00f3, Valle del Cauca, Cauca and\/or Nari\u00f1o. <\/p>\r\n\r\n

In the case of research groups and PhD students, comparative projects are accepted as long as they include Choc\u00f3, Valle del Cauca, Cauca and\/or Nari\u00f1o as one of the research sites (for comparative studies, applicants may include study sites inside and outside Colombia other than the departments mentioned above).<\/p>\r\n <\/div>\r\n <\/div>\r\n \r\n <\/div>\r\n\r\n

About Fundaci\u00f3n WWB Colombia<\/b><\/h2>\r\n \r\n

Fundaci\u00f3n WWB Colombia has been supporting women micro-entrepreneurs for over 30 years, positioning itself as a leading microfinance institution in Colombia. In 2011, it created Banco WWB S.A., now Banco W, to continue its social focus as a Foundation, working on projects that promote women’s recognition and projection through training, leadership and empowerment, in order to improve their quality of life and that of their families.<\/p>\r\n\r\n
